We have experienced a difficult few months with not being able to open and provide treatments to our clients. As from July 13th we were allowed to open however with restrictions on any face treatment. We are open, however with restricted opening hours and no reception or waiting felicity. Please contact us in advance if you would like an appointment Gift vouchers or consultation. The Well-being shop and reception is open Wednesdays and Fridays 12-2pm and Saturdays 10-12.

A great deal of work has taken place at Essential Well-being in preparation for the reopening of our clinic. The entire clinic has been redecorated, cleaned and sanitised and is looking spic and span. We have had many operational considerations to make and each therapist has done a comprehensive risk assessment of their treatment rooms, in addition each therapist has successfully completed the Dermalogica Clean Touch Certificate and the Barbicide Covid 19 certificate which represent the most current health and hygiene regulatory guidelines relating to our industry.

We want to provide the safest environment for you to enjoy your treatments. To ensure this we have implemented safety strategies for our team and all our clients and we ask you to, comply to protect yourselves and others.

What to expect before and during your visit to Essential Well-being, 9 London Road Spalding

Firstly, the team will wear face masks or visors at all times and use additional PPE relevant to each treatment. Prior to your appointment, to ensure that all precautions are taken you will receive a text, we will ask you to complete a short health questionnaire and ask you to respond by texting back to confirm your appointment and that you have not had any of the following;

The confirmation text will ask;

  • Have you had a cough?
  • Have you had a fever?
  • Have you been around anyone exhibiting these symptoms within the past 14 days?
  • Are you living with anyone who is sick or quarantined?
  • Have you experienced loss of smell or taste?

If you answer yes, we regret you will be unable to attend your appointment and an alternative appointment will be scheduled. This will protect other clients and team members.

The entrance will be locked and controlled only by a staff member. All clients are requested to wear a mask or face covering in the communal areas. It is possible to purchase one from us in advance if required. Please inform us prior to your appointment. Clients will be asked to remove their shoes and sanitise their hands on entering the premises. Please bring a clean pair of socks to wear.

We will take your temperature as you enter the building with our Infra-Red thermometer. Please arrive alone (unless not possible). Please arrive with as little personal property as possible e.g. leave handbags, scarfs, jewellery etc at home. We are unable to provide a waiting area at this present time due to social distancing rules, so please arrive at your appointment time, not early or late due to strict timings put in place to ensure we adhere to social distancing.

Therapists, Treatment rooms, Tools and Materials

Therapists will wash their hands; before, during treatments (when required) and after each client and dry with disposable towels.

To ensure your safety, we will use disposable single use tools and supplies wherever possible and dispose after each client. The couches will be bare and covered with disposable roll instead of towels and sanitised after each client. All Electrical equipment will be sanitised after each use and stored away once clean. All Non disposables will be thoroughly cleaned, then sterilised after each client. Any materials, towels and blankets will be for single use only. We will use Perspex counter shields for hand treatments and face shields for all face treatments. All products such as cleansers, serums, lotions, creams, waxes and scrubs will be sanitised after each use and stored away in a closed container or cupboard until required again. All touch points will be cleaned with medical grade disinfectant and cleaned frequently during the day, this includes Touch screens, phones, iPads, till draw, card machines, doors, handles, light switches, shelving, stair rail, toilet flush, toilet seat, taps and soap dispensers.

Please refrain from hugging your therapist. We have missed you, but kindly ask you to adhere to the social distancing rules wherever possible.

We hope you understand the additional precautions we have put in place and we appreciate things may seem different for a while (for us too) but be assured our service remains the same and we aim to make your appointment as special and as enjoyable as it always has been.
