We live in a modern era where life is fast paced and often challenging, this can frequently lead to feelings of stress and anxiety, leaving the body out of balance causing dis-ease. With the high demands of life, it is important that we take responsibility for our own healthcare needs and that’s where Reflexology may help.

Reflexology can help to relieve everyday stress and support you both emotionally and physically. Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary therapy which works on the theory that reflex points in the feet, hands or face relate to corresponding areas in the body.

Foot reflexology is the most widely technique used, there are 52 bones in your feet, that’s a quarter of your bones from your entire body. There are also more nerve endings in your feet than anywhere else in the body. We walk around on our feet everyday so no wonder they are so susceptive to touch.
There is no undressing required for Reflexology, you are simply required to remove your sock and shoes. If, however, the idea of having your feet touched puts you off the treatment, then the option to have the treatment performed on the hands or face is a very good alternative.
Reflexology is not a massage, although it forms a very relaxing part of the treatment, specialised techniques are used to apply gentle pressure to individual reflex areas, this can either stimulate or calm the area depending on an individual’s needs.

Reflexology does not take the place of professional medical advice, nor does it claim to cure or diagnoses any illness. It can, however be extremely effective in easing symptoms associated with stress and help to bring the body back into balance. Usually after treatment you may notice a reduction in tension and a feeling of deep relaxation. Many people report improved quality of sleep and a general improvement in mood and well-being. Other benefits can be felt but this can vary between one person to person, as we are all individuals.

It is your own body that holds the potential for initiating self-healing and improved well-being, the Reflexologist only facilitates the treatment
